kapamilya news

Here are some news tidbits about the new kapuso Claudine Barretto, kapamilya teleserye queen Judy Ann Santos and their upcoming teleseryes.

1. For those who are not 100% loyal kapamilyas, who among you watched "JEWEL IN THE PALACE on GMA? This koreanovela is pitted against "PRINCESS HOURS" on ABS-CBN on Primetime some 3 years ago.

Now, GMA is going to remake Jewel In The Palace and Claudine Barretto will play the lead role. This will be GMA's mega project for 2010.

2. Meanwhile, Claudine's rival Judy Ann Santos is still filming the revised script of "Habang May Buhay" the nurserye of ABS-CBN. I heard reports that this this teleserye will be pitted against GMA's Jewel in The Palace remake.

Will this be the most-anticipated tapatan of Claudine Barretto and Judy Ann Santos? Let's wait and see...

3. Another latest development is the reunion of the late 90's youth-oriented show GIMIK. The GOOD NEWS is the main casts Judy Ann Santos, Diether Ocampo, G Toengi, Bojo Molina, Mylene Dizon, kapuso stars Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin all agreed to do the reunion project.

This is going to be exciting!!!

Filming will start on January 2010 and its going to be aired on ABS-CBN!

4. Aside from ABS-CBN's latest star-studded teleserye Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo another originally conceptualized teleserye is on the cooking - TANGING YAMAN.

This is starring Ejay Falcon, Erich Gonzales, Enchong Dee, Matt Evans and Melissa Ricks. This is entirely different from Star Cinema's TANGING YAMAN way back in 2002.

Abangan ang TANGING YAMAN on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida on the first quarter of 2010.

2012 3d+ ramblings... how I missed blogging!

Hi gurls.. well its been soooooo long since my last post.
I've been so excited to tell a few thing, first of all, my painting
-->remmber when I posted a painting that have not been finished
(i did forgot to take a photo of it, oops!) I got the painting already, I did not won( my gosh we were about 1,000+ contestants so my chances of winning might be zero)

But it was wayyyyy to fun to join such a national competition.
And again I'll be joining another one( the pldt directory 2010-2011 issue)

maybe i'll post the finished product next week.

The second thing is that I already watched the movie 2012 in 3d!!! loved it so much. It was such an epic movie. I indeed enjoyed every bit of the movie..
specially it was on 3d!! It was like for real!!

well, it was my 2nd choice(my hubby and I) because we did not make it to the
1st day showing of NEW MOON, there were so many freaking people waiting in line.
All the screening times from 6-9 pm were sold out, and the only time available is of 11:30 pm-1:45 am (huwhattt!!! 11:30 pm) that was like super duper last film showing, at it was to late at night for us to wait,, but I got out tickets reserved for next weeks showing, hahaha..

I'll be gone for 3 days, i'll be going to Calaruega, Batangas for my annual retreat..

here are some pictures of the church..

this place is so relaxing, what a perfect time to unwind and relax..
It has been a very busy day for me, and now i'll try to get a few hours sleep,
--- good night guys!!---

Make A Difference Now! Send Aid to 300,000 People Displaced by Tropical Storm Kestana (Ondoy)

At the time of writing, 73 people have died and over 300,000 people have been displaced by Tropical Storm Kestana (local name “Ondoy”) that struck the Philippines with heavy, torrential rains on Saturday, September 26, 2009.
Waters rose to as much as 5 meters high in some areas and the Philippines, seeing the worst flooding in over 30 years, was caught unaware. Metro Manila and 5 outlying provinces are now in a state of calamity.

Shanties were washed away and thousands of houses and vehicles were submerged and destroyed by the floods.
Even up to now, there are over 9,000 families taking refuge in evacuation sites and there are thousands of people stranded in the roofs of their houses waiting to be rescued.

The damage to lives and property will take months to rebuild but, immediately, we need food, clothing, and medical supplies to treat our refugees.

The Philippine government is doing its best to deal with the situation. However, the National Disaster Coordinating Council is severely under-budgeted and can only do so much. The nation and various Non-Government Organizations have come together to provide aid to those who were affected by the flooding but we fear that it isn’t enough.

That is why we are turning to the international community for support and help. If you wish to help rebuild a nation and provide help to those affected by this horrible calamity, use the widgets below (PayPal / Credit card). All proceeds will go to the Philippine National Red Cross.
You can also help by helping spread the word about this site! (Use twitter, face book, or blog about it)

nailzzz(hot hot trend!)

Lunar Cycle
Etiquette books of the twenties and thirties warned women against painted nails, but with Hollywood glamour-pusses like Greta Garbo, Jean Harlow, and Joan Crawford flaunting them, the moon manicure was poised for liftoff. Eight decades later, the style experienced a resurgence on the Fall runways, showing up at Thakoon, Ruffian, and Dior, left.

Lady in Red
Sales of nail polish took off in the forties. Credit goes to Rita Hayworth, whose long, oval red nails were widely emulated—at least by non-Rosie the Riveter types.

Seeing Green
Forty-plus years later, Peter Philips, Chanel's creative director of makeup, took Quant's concept and ran with it, whipping up the famed jade lacquer from the brand's Fall 2009 show. "Karl [Lagerfeld] wanted a green tint which would resonate with the jade-colored notes of the collection," Philips says. A palette of ten different shades of green was shown to the designer, who picked the one that most resembled a tweed suit from the collection.

Bright Ideas
Pastels ultimately begat brighter neon shades, which remain a summer staple for fingernails and toes.

White Lines
The French manicure came into vogue in the seventies among career women looking for a versatile and elegant look that didn't require frequent alterations. The origins of the style's neutral base with a thin white tip—as well as the exact nature of its French connection—are often disputed, but Orly founder Jeff Pink trademarked the term in 1978 when he launched his Original French Manicure Kit.

Faking it
Acrylic, square-shaped nails became the rage in the eighties. With her shoulder pads, big hair, and extreme talons, Dynasty star Joan Collins—who else?—embodied the trend.

The Black List
The black polish craze hasn't been limited to the boys. Joan Jett and Pat Benatar made it their own and it eventually achieved crossover success, frequently showing up on the fingers of supermodel Kate Moss and her ink.

Stuck on You
Press-on nails were the economical and convenient answer to the decade's artificial nail craze. Companies like Lee marketed easy-to-use adhesive nails at drugstore prices, opening the door for other street styles—like nail charms and nail art—to enter into the mainstream

Design Majors
Nail design has risen above its humble, mall-salon beginnings to become a favorite new pastime of the young Hollywood and hip-hop sets.

Dark Angel
No nails story would be complete without Vamp, the deep reddish brown shade that Uma Thurman immortalized in Pulp Fiction. The Chanel classic received a sparkly update dubbed Gondola. Pumped up with gold and iridescent plum flecks, the new lacquer is due out next month

The Future Perfect
Minx is the next big thing in nails. The fledgling company offers metallics, personalized graphics, and photo-quality designs in flexible nontoxic film form. Applied with heat and easily removed, Minx nails have become popular with editorial manicurists and clients like Lady Gaga, who want frequently changing statement nails without the hassle of removing and reapplying.

Scratch and Win
Sula Beauty has upped the innovation quotient as well with its Paint & Peel polishes. This line of bold colors is designed with a water-based formula that allows you to paint it on and peel it off at your convenience, with no need for a base coat, top coat, or harsh nail polish removers.

Welcome Matte
Next season's other big trend is a flat look that debuted backstage at Alexander Wang, courtesy of Butter London's Nonie Crème, who created the finish by putting her Nail Foundation base coat on top of her flesh-toned go-to Yummy Mummy. Look out for matte color collections from Zoya and Orly this fall, as well as Opi's line launching in July.
